Hi, everyone!
Even though I haven't had the time so far this week to leave the kind of comments I wish I could leave on all your blogs, that doesn't mean I haven't been stopping by to check out all of the WONDERFUL Ten on Ten photo sets out there this month! Thank you so much to those of you who linked up in the post below! (If you are still hoping to do a Ten on Ten post--or maybe you have already, but haven't added your link yet--the linky will be open until July 17th. I hope you will join the fun and share your photos!) I have been very inspired by the beautiful images you all have captured this month, as you experience the simple pleasures of summertime!
Speaking of inspiration--do you all know Andrea? Allow me to introduce you to this talented photographer, wife, and mom of two adorable little girls. You're gonna love the way this lady captures the special details of her world, and I bet, like me, you'll be inspired to pick up your camera again this week, and capture a few special moments of your own. Enjoy the following interview!
Kristen: What is your name, age, and location?
Andrea: I'm Andrea. I'm 29. I live in Maple Valley, Washington with my husband and my two daughters. I'm a stay-at-home mom and a "retired" Certified Public Accountant.
K: How long have you been participating in the Ten on Ten photo project, and how did you first hear about it?
A: I've been participating in Ten on Ten since July of 2009. I've only forgotten once (last month). My friend Kristin S. (who knows Rebekah) told me about the project. I was smack dab in the middle of Becky Higgins' Project 365 at the time and she thought I would enjoy even more picture taking- she was right.
P.S. I'm currently working on Project Life.
K: What inspires you about the Ten on Ten project?
A: It gives me a chance to be creative through out the day. It challenges me to look around and capture the hour- the little things of our life. I love seeing other people's photos that night or the next day to see what that exact day turned out to be for them. It's something I look forward to each month.
K: What do you find yourself taking photos of when capturing your day for Ten on Ten?
A: Mostly my kids and something to do with the activities of our day. Looking back at all my photos I realize I take a lot of shoe pictures. Must be all those cute little girl shoes.
K: Do you have a favorite Ten on Ten set from the past year? Why is it a favorite?
A: I think my favorite would probably be February 2010. It's a VERY typical day for us. Nothing special or out of the ordinary but this set captures us perfectly.
K: Has this project influenced how you see your daily life in any way?
A: I would say that it has. It's definitely sharpened my photography skills, encouraged me to learn, to try new things, take more pictures, and more importantly has reminded me to treasure the small things in daily life.
K: Why might you encourage someone to participate in this project?
A: First of all because it's really fun! It's great practice and allows you take photos of things that you wouldn't ordinarily think of.
K: What does an average day look like for you?
A: A typical day for me usually includes a trip to the park or riding bikes (if it's nice out), playing with friends, cleaning up a million little messes, for sure a craft or coloring project, someone usually ends up grumpy at some point in the day (sometimes it's me), and of course all the cute pink dress-up clothes you can imagine.
K: What does an ideal day look like for you?
A: An ideal day for me would start with a fun family outing and end with a kid-free date night with my husband. Oh, and a perfectly clean house-that stays clean without effort.
K: What inspires you currently? Who are your favorite photographers?
A: I'm inspired by the countless creative moms out there with fun blogs about their lives (some I know and some I blog stalk). I'm also inspired by my two little girls...they couldn't be any cuter and more fun to photograph.
If I were going to get family portraits I would want them done by her...Brittany Janelle.

Thank you so much, Andrea, for sharing your thoughts and photos with us!

I won't be sharing my Ten on Ten faves for July, but if there was a set or photo you especially enjoyed, I invite you to share the link in the comments this month! Take a moment and give a shout out, friends! There's nothing like giving the gift of encouragement!
See you all soon!

Great Interview! I love Andrea & have been following her blog since we found each other via 10 on 10!
I met Andrea in college and we re-connected via blogging almost 10 years later! (Gosh we're getting old!) She inspired me to start 10-on-10 and Project 365 as well and I'm so glad she did. She is a constant inspiration to my creative side!
Oh her photos are wonderful! I love the one of the bright colored tights and shoes :)
this is the first i've heard of this. i love, love, love it. i can hardly wait for tomorrow!
